Project Description:
The main goal of this coordinated project is to provide technological solutions to the challenging design of several broadband communication systems based on MIMO technology with large arrays, including the definition of the appropriate MIMO architecture, the design and fabrication of the antenna subsystems based on reflectarray and transmitarray technologies and the algorithms for channel estimation and MIMO processing. Applications include mmWave communication for 5G cellular and WLAN and satellite multi-spot coverages in Ka-band.
